FESCO SECURITY SERVICES LIMITED is a wholly indigenous security and risk management firm committed to providing services to corporate entities and individuals. FSS is able to offer a fully comprehensive range of security solutions. We offer security screening and access control at special events and maintain VIP protection of all standards that guarantee the safety of lives and properties. Our portable walk-through handheld metal detector and baggage screening x-ray machine can be set up to control access at the event. Since the company was established and incorporated in January 1992 and licensed having complied with all the requirements of the private Guards companies’ decree of 1990.


Major General Chris Garuba was born on 8th April 1948 in Ipole Otukpa, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State. He attended St. Michael’s Secondary School Aliade, Benue State between 1962 and 1966 for his secondary education. He did higher School (Jan-Aug, 1967) at St. John’s College, Kaduna before enrolling at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, for the 3rd regular Combatant course on 15th August 1967. He was commissioned on 15th March 1970 into the Nigerian Army. In between his regular military assignments, Chris Garuba attended the following academic institutions: Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma, USA (1974-75), University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma USA (1975-78) where he bagged a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Meteorological, and University of Jos, Nigeria, where he got an M.phil Degree (1981) in Political Science (International Relations and Strategic Studies). In 1982, he was appointed a fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society (FRMETS). He is also a fellow of the institute of management and Technology. In 1996, he was appointed as a member of the vision 2010 committee.

In the military arena, Chris Garuba attended the following courses: Troop Commanders Course at the Royal School of Artillery, Larkhill, England (1971); Field Artillery Officers Advanced Course, USA Army Artillery and missile School, Fort sill, Oklahoma, USA (1972-73); Ballistic Meteorology and Target Acquisition Course (USAFAS), Fortsill, USA (1974); Command and Staff College, Jaji (1978-79); Attachment to the Defense Services Staff College, Wellington, India (1981); Regimental Battalion Commander’s Course, Jaji (1983) Self-propelled Artillery (155mmSP) Course, Jos Nigeria (1984); and Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos (SEC11,1989).

Since his commission into the Nigerian Army, Chris Garuba has held the following appointments: Commanding Officer, Artillery Regiment; Chief instructor, Artillery School, Director, Army Logistics and plans, Army Headquarters, Lagos (1979-80) Directing School Senior Division, command and Staff College, Jaji (1981-83) where he was awarded an additional symbol of psc dagger (+) in recognition of his excellent performance as a Directing Staff, Brigade commander, 34 self-propelled Artillery Brigade (1983-85); military Governor Bauchi State (1985-88); Colonel General Staff, Directorate of Army operations and Training Army Headquarters Lagos (1990-1993), General Officer Commanding, 82 Division, Nigerian Army and member of the Armed Forces Ruling Council (1990-1993); Chief Military Observer, United Nations Verification Mission in Angola (UNAVEMII) between July 1993 and February 1995. Force commander and Chief Military Observer of UNAVEM III (February 1995- October 1995); Chief of Defence Research, Development policy and planning (1995-1996) and former Commandant, National War College, Nigeria, and former Member of the Provisional Ruling Council (PRC).

In the past years, he has received the following awards and honors Forces Services Star; Defence Service Medal; Nigerian Crisis Service Medal; Independence Medal; Silver Jubilee Medal; Member, National Institute, and United Nations Service Medal.

He holds a Bsc. in Microbiology, finished with Nysc 2022, he is currently in charge of the affairs of the company that has to do with social media.

Mr. Okpara, Festus Emmanuel is a business Magnet. He has successfully managed and directed the affairs of FESCO SECURITY SERVICES LIMITED to date. He is a member of the prestigious Institute of professional Security. He also has a Fellow of the International Institute of Professional Security (FIIPS) and is a member of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture. professional Diploma in Security Management and Technology.

He holds B.Sc in Entrepreneur & Business Management. He has worked with many corporate organizations including NNPC/PPMC Kano Depot. He has attended the Institute of Industrial Security & Safety of Nigeria and several Security Training and workshops.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in Banking & Finance. He has attended several courses/workshops in security strategy.

He holds a final City & Guilds of London, Intermediate City & Guilds of London in Electrical/Electronic.

Trained in the UK by CUBB ALARM London as an electronic Security system engineer, he worked with CUBB Nigeria and S.E.M/Safety Equipment Manufacturing Ltd as an Installation engineer and has acquired over 35 years of experience in security equipment installation
